Event: Peter Cottontail and Friends Easter Celebration Date: Saturday, March 20, 2010 Volunteer Service Hours: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. Location: Arcata Community Center
Please read the volunteer agreement prior to signing up to volunteer. Your registration to volunteer assumes that you have read and agree to abide by the volunteer agreement.
Foundation staff and volunteers alike are responsible for making sure the guests have a positive carnival experience. It's fun for all of us!

Carnival Games : volunteers should enjoy interacting with guests and provide encouragement. Many games require Bending, stooping and reaching.
Cast of Characters : Kids love the characters and it is a chance for the volunteers to have a really fun time. The volunteer should enjoy hamming it up and really getting into the character’s personality. Some of our best photos have been with characters and the children. (also need helpers for characters)
Egg Hunt : All the kids love the Egg Hunt. We want the hunt to be fun and a little bit challenging for each age group. Ongoing hunt, Hiding eggs, indoors with a Limit of 10 eggs per child.
Entertainment : - balloon twisters - music - puppeteers
Food Service : volunteers may prepare or serve food (including popcorn and cotton candy) as well as help clean the dining area.
Fun Zone : volunteer should help create a whimsical and fun environment. - junior sponsors - coloring tables - face painting/tattoos - medical corner - jump houses
Greeters & check-in/payment : the Greeter Team is responsible for the first impression of the guests, help with directing guests when they arrive and is one of the most important jobs of the day.
Raffle/Silent Auction : volunteers are responsible for encouraging guests to buy raffle tickets from our Raffle Bunnies & bid on silent auction items. They also help with distributing prizes. The team will set-up the table display which should be attractive and enticing.
